About the Role
As a Project Controls Manager, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects by leading planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost management, and risk mitigation efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with client and company goals
- Develop, manage, and report on project budgets and cost controls
- Perform risk identification and mitigation planning
- Motivate and manage project control teams to high performance
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders
- Present complex data and insights clearly and concisely to varied audiences
- Analyse project data to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure all project control practices align with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Oversee and manage changes in project scope, timelines, and budgets
Required Skills
- Proven experience in project controls, including planning, cost engineering, and risk management
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Expertise in Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and integration scheduling
- Expertise in NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
- Ability to analyse and manipulate data for actionable insights
- Governance experience and knowledge of compliance frameworks
- Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail with a strategic and analytical mindset
- Adaptable, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional integrity
Qualifications
- Security Clearance (either in use, or previously held)
- Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent (preferred)
