About the Role
Our client is seeking a Coastal Geomorphologist to join their specialist Geomorphology team. You will work on projects focused on restoring natural coastal processes, enhancing ecosystem resilience, and addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert coastal geomorphology advice to internal project teams
- Manage projects and small teams, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality
- Undertake site visits for habitat restoration, creation, and coastal/estuarine change assessments
- Carry out feasibility studies and baseline coastal process assessments
- Analyse datasets, GIS information, and modelling outputs
- Prepare clear, high‑quality technical reports and present findings at meetings and workshops
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Support tender submissions and manage specialist sub‑contractors
- Contribute to projects in the UK and internationally
What Our Client is Looking For
- Proven experience in coastal geomorphology with a strong interest in water and the environment
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well‑organised, motivated, and flexible approach to work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to mentor junior staff as experience develops
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Geography or a relevant science‑related subject (or equivalent)
- Experience delivering work in a professional consultancy or similar environment
- Understanding of process‑based coastal geomorphology
- Experience with coastal modelling, sediment transport, erosion, GIS, and report writing
- Project management experience
- Desire to achieve chartered status (ICE, CIWEM, CGeog) or already chartered
- Full UK driving licence

- Tender preparation and contract management
- Environmental Impact Assessment experience
- Policy development and mentoring experience
