An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fabrication Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Bradford. Working across a range of water projects, you will be responsible for producing fabrication designs for an in-house fabrication shop specialising in galvanised mild steel (GMS), stainless steel pipework, access fabrications and associated ancillaries. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced design professional looking to work on varied projects within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed fabrication designs for GMS and stainless steel pipework systems
- Designing permanent access fabrications and associated ancillaries
- Supporting a range of water industry projects
- Working closely with in-house fabricators and site installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable
- Producing pipework layouts, support designs and fabrication drawings
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards including WIMES 9.02
About you:
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor is essential
- SolidWorks experience would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of pipework, fittings and associated support design
- Understanding of WIMES 9.02 for Permanent Access Fabrications
- Previous experience working closely with fabrication shops and site installers
- Background within the water industry or similar engineering sectors preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
