About the Role
You will support team leadership in delivering projects, reviewing technical outputs, and mentoring junior staff. Depending on your seniority, you may also be responsible for strategic planning, client engagement, and business development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing urban drainage modelling capabilities within the team, staying at the forefront of technical advances.
- Managing and supervising local technical delivery teams, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Applying independent engineering judgement to provide innovative solutions to urban drainage challenges.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating project communications.
- Contributing to business development, proposals, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Representing the organisation at industry events and sharing knowledge to develop the wider team.
What We Are Looking For
- A relevant degree and chartered status (or significant progress toward chartership with ICE, IEI, IoW, or CIWEM).
- Proven experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling (preferably InfoWorks ICM) and the ability to review technical outputs of others.
- Strong knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, the Code of Practice for Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems, and relevant British Standards.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
