Who you’ll be working for: Our client is a global healthcare organisation specialising in diagnostic imaging. With a long-established heritage and privately owned structure, the company develops, manufactures and markets contrast agents, medical devices and advanced imaging solutions used by healthcare professionals worldwide. Diagnostic imaging sits at the heart of the organisation's strategy and expertise, with leading positions across:

  • CT contrast media
  • MRI contrast media
  • Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS)
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Advanced imaging technologies

Operating in more than 100 countries, the business continues to invest significantly in research, innovation and clinical education, supporting improvements in diagnostic pathways and patient outcomes across healthcare systems globally.

What you’ll enjoy:

  • Shape a Growing Market - Help hospitals create services rather than support mature pathways.
  • Make a Clinical Difference - Improve access to faster, more efficient diagnosis.
  • Join an Imaging Specialist - Imaging is the company’s core business.
  • Enjoy Real Autonomy - Own your territory and influence strategy.
  • Be Part of Future Innovation - Join a company investing heavily in imaging, innovation and future diagnostic pathways.

You'll have a supportive manager, who really looks out for their team. It's an autonomous working culture - no micromanagement!

What you’ll be doing: This newly created specialist role combines clinical expertise with service development across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England, supporting the growth of diagnostic imaging services within NHS and hospital accounts. Working with clinical and operational stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to establish and expand diagnostic services, guide implementation projects, deliver training and provide ongoing clinical support. Scotland represents a significant growth area and will be a key focus for the successful candidate. This is not a traditional account management or applications role. It requires someone who can navigate complex NHS environments, influence decision-makers and support the adoption of innovative imaging solutions that improve patient pathways. You will work closely with Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, Pharmacists, Cardiologists, CT Leads and Procurement teams. Experience selling clinically led solutions into the NHS is highly desirable. One of the key product areas is Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS), making the ability to influence service development and pathway change essential. ABPI qualification is required within 12 months of joining, with full funding and study support provided.

Here’s what you need: The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical imaging background, ideally with sonography or ultrasound experience. The client is particularly interested in candidates who can understand ultrasound images and who have experience supporting or developing imaging services within the NHS or a commercial healthcare environment. Relevant backgrounds may include:

  • Sonographer
  • Radiographer with strong ultrasound or service development exposure
  • Clinical Applications Specialist in ultrasound or diagnostic imaging
  • NHS imaging professional with experience setting up or developing services
  • Commercial clinical specialist with experience in ultrasound, contrast imaging, microbubbles or related diagnostic technologies
  • Academic or industry background focused on ultrasound, provided there is strong clinical understanding

This role would suit someone who is clinically credible, commercially aware and comfortable working in a consultative, developmental capacity. The successful candidate will need to be:

  • Confident working with clinicians and hospital stakeholders.
  • Able to understand how NHS services are built and implemented.
  • Comfortable dealing with complexity, delays and red tape.
  • Strong at relationship-building and handholding customers through change.
  • Clinically strong enough to support image optimisation and product use.
  • Commercially minded.
  • Proactive and able to prioritise across a large territory.
  • Resilient, self-motivated and comfortable working in a newly created role.
  • Excited by the opportunity to develop an underworked territory with significant potential.
