Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components.

We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector.

Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components.

To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year.

  • The Position
  • Create manufacturing methods.
  • Design and development of work holding methods including technical drawings.
  • Simulation of CNC programs using Vericut.
  • Provide prove out support to shop floor for new processes.
  • Interpretation of technical drawings.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the production team.
  • Understanding and knowledge of special processes, heat treatments and coatings.
  • Understanding of measurement methods and techniques.
  • Provide technical support to projects and commercial teams.
  • Perform any other duties which may be reasonably associated with the job in order to meet the needs of the company.
  • Promote effective communication between your functional areas and other areas of the business
  • All employees must be responsible for the safety of their work That of their co-workers and of the implementation of our policies and procedures applicable to the processes that they perform.

Workers have the authority to stop production to correct safety problems.

  • Identify and report any known or potential problems and to recommend solutions to aid subsequent risk management and corrective action activities.

All workers and contractors are encouraged to participate and engage with OHSM & EMS, processes.

  • Must ensure all accidents, incidents are reported.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by following proper ergonomic, safety equipment use and hygiene practices.
  • Promote environmentally friendly practices and sustainability initiatives within the workplace and complete mandatory ESH-related training and certifications.

  • Highly motivated individual.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with CNC programs, using Vericut.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM
  • Experience with aerospace or defence
  • Manufacturing Engineering degree or apprentice trained equivalent.
  • Experience within working in a team environment
  • Excellent communication Skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to manage own time effectively.
