Advance is looking for Support Workers to support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. We offer flexible working, extensive training and support to kick‑start a rewarding career in Social Care.
Full UK driving licence required as the customer has their own vehicle to access the community.
Day to Day Activities- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
- Medication administration (if required)
- Providing support with preparing and cooking meals
- Assisting with attending medical appointments
- Supporting social activities
- Building independent skills
- Aiding domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
- Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
- Maintaining up to date training
You do not need prior experience in care or support, but values, passion, and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with autism or learning disabilities are essential.
You will need to be:
- Good at working both independently and within a team
- Excellent at communicating with people
- Capable of completing quality support records
- Able to work every other weekend
- Available between 7:00 am and 10:30 pm
- Able to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
- Literate and numerate in English
- Willing and able to achieve the Care Certificate
- Flexible hours to fit around personal commitments
- Paid mileage and travel time between appointments
- Paid holiday (25‑30 days plus bank holidays, pro rata for part‑time)
- Sector specific training during induction with opportunities for professional development
