Location: Bournemouth, Hampshire and Weymouth - Remote and Home working

Hours: 35 contracted hours per week

Salary: Up to £35,047.12 per annum (depending on experience) + £2,280 per annum car allowance, pro rata

As travel is a requirement of the role, a full current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

About The Role

This is a 6-month temporary opportunity for a Regional Housing Officer to make a real difference within Advance, a specialist supported housing association. In this role, you’ll help us provide safe, secure and well‑managed homes across Bournemouth, Hampshire and Weymouth, with flexibility for some home working. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of rented and shared ownership properties, working closely with customers, colleagues, local authorities and support providers to ensure sustainable tenancies and high‑quality homes. We’re looking for someone who can step in, build strong relationships quickly, and deliver a positive, respectful service that supports people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and those working towards greater independence.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a patch of properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and ready to let
  • Work closely with customers, support providers and local agencies to create positive tenancy outcomes
  • Carry out viewings, sign‑ups and tenancy visits, supporting customers to maintain their homes
  • Monitor rent accounts, address arrears and follow agreed procedures, including court attendance where required
  • Respond to ASB concerns, neighbour disputes and customer queries with empathy and professionalism
  • Keep accurate tenancy and housing records on our systems and ensure lettings and property standards are met
  • Support customers with welfare benefits, mutual exchanges, and accessing wider services
  • Promote tenant involvement, events and community investment initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in housing management and knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Confident working with diverse customers, including those with mental or physical disabilities
  • Strong communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to use housing databases (Open Housing or similar) and produce clear reports

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent); enhanced DBS required
