This is a 6‑month temporary opportunity to work as a Regional Housing Officer within Advance, a specialist supported housing association. In this role you’ll provide safe, secure and well‑managed homes across Bournemouth, Hampshire and Weymouth, with flexibility for some home working. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of rented and shared ownership properties and work closely with customers, colleagues, local authorities and support providers to ensure sustainable tenancies and high‑quality homes.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a patch of properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and ready to let.
- Work closely with customers, support providers and local agencies to create positive tenancy outcomes.
- Carry out viewings, sign‑ups and tenancy visits, supporting customers to maintain their homes.
- Monitor rent accounts, address arrears and follow agreed procedures, including court attendance where required.
- Respond to ASB concerns, neighbour disputes and customer queries with empathy and professionalism.
- Keep accurate tenancy and housing records on our systems and ensure lettings and property standards are met.
- Support customers with welfare benefits, mutual exchanges and accessing wider services.
- Promote tenant involvement, events and community investment initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in housing management and knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Confident working with diverse customers, including those with mental or physical disabilities.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to use housing databases (Open Housing or similar) and produce clear reports.

- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent); enhanced DBS required.
