Position: Male Support Worker

Location: Springtail, E7

Hours: 30 contracted hours per week (Mon‑Sun, including weekends, days, evenings, holidays and sleep‑ins)

Salary: £23,150.16 per annum (£14.50 p/h)

About the Role

Support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. A full UK driving licence is required as the customer has their own vehicle to access the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
  • Medication administration (if required)
  • Support with preparing and cooking meals
  • Support with attending medical appointments
  • Support with social activities
  • Support with independent skills
  • Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
  • Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
  • Keeping up to date with training

Candidate Profile

You don’t need previous experience in care or support. What matters are values, passion and determination to make a difference for people with autism or learning disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Good at working independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to complete quality support records
  • Availability to work every other weekend
  • Availability to work between 7:00 am and 10:30 pm
  • Ability to follow a Support Plan, Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
  • Literate and numerate in English
  • Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
