Job Description
What you’ll do
We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care through the night.
Their care needs consist of:
- Support with manual handling
- Feeds and Medication Administrationthrough Gastrostomy
- Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
- Respiratory requirements - non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP)with full face mask for daytime sleeps andovernight. Monitoring saturations and oxygen requirements
- Incontinence care - 4 hourly intermittent catheterisations during day time.
Qualifications
What you’ll need
For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management, PEG feeding and catheterisation would be beneficial.
