Job Description

What you’ll do: We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care through the night. Their care needs consist of:

  • Support with manual handling
  • Feeds and Medication Administration through Gastrostomy
  • Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
  • Respiratory requirements - non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP) with full face mask for daytime sleeps and overnight. Monitoring saturations and oxygen requirements
  • Incontinence care - 4 hourly intermittent catheterisations during daytime.

Qualifications

What you’ll need: For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management, PEG feeding and catheterisation would be beneficial.
