Job Description

What you’ll do: We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7. Their care needs consist of:

  • Repositioning, mobility requirements and manual handling.
  • Dual Jejunostomy and Gastrostomy Button for feeding and administering medication.
  • Monitoring of skin and tissue viability.
  • Complex Epilepsy and Dystonia, requiring rescue medication.
  • Oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring.
  • Respiratory requirements, interventions of bag and mask, oxygen and stimulation. This can be multiple times per day.
  • Physiotherapy programme.

Qualifications

What you’ll need: For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.
