You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis of fire and security systems across commercial and domestic sites. The role requires a professional, customer-focused individual who can work independently while contributing positively to a growing team.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain and fault-find fire and security systems
- Work on intruder alarms, fire alarm systems, CCTV and access control
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits
- Respond to reactive call-outs and system faults when required
- Complete all relevant job documentation accurately and on time
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with current standards, regulations and company procedures
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
- Participate in an on-call rota (where applicable)
- Liaise with office staff, engineers and management to ensure smooth delivery of work
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment in good condition
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Fire & Security Engineer role or similar
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- FIA, ECS/CSCS or manufacturer training
- Experience with a range of industry-leading systems
- Knowledge of relevant British Standards
