We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven individual to take on the pivotal role of Employment Advisor as part of the Connect to Work Programme, a national, government‐funded initiative. You will be passionate about working with people with complex needs to help them overcome barriers to employment and achieve sustainable work outcomes.

Working with a small caseload of participants, you will be at the heart of delivering the service in Adur & Worthing using a Supported Employment model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support participants with complex barriers into sustainable employment using the IPS or SEQF frameworks.
  • Manage a caseload, provide intensive support and work towards agreed KPI's.
  • Undertake in‐depth vocational profiling and complex needs analysis, and design and implement bespoke employability action plans.
  • Build trusting relationships with participants, motivating and empowering them to take ownership of their employment journey.
  • Provide trauma‐informed, goal‐centred support, coach participants in developing job‐seeking strategies, improving CVs, building interview skills, and supporting development of work‐related skills.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with employers to create job opportunities; collaborate closely with other support services (including drug and alcohol, mental health & wellbeing services) to ensure integrated, holistic support.
  • Exercise professional judgement in risk management and safeguarding concerns, maintain accurate confidential records while meeting targets.

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced with Adult Barred List DBS clearance.
