Reporting directly to the Head of Adur Homes, you will lead a dedicated team to plan and deliver our major and minor capital investment programmes. You will hold absolute accountability for ensuring our housing stock meets all statutory and legislative obligations. You will lead from the front, utilising data to monitor contractor performance, managing robust procurement regimes, and working collaboratively with stakeholders and resident forums to guarantee absolute statutory compliance across the 'Big Six' property safety areas: fire, gas, asbestos, water hygiene, electrical, and lifts.
About You
- At least 3 years of experience within a Social Housing Asset Management environment, with an extensive track record of delivering major capital works and strict contract management.
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., RICS, MCIOB, MCABE, or an HNC/HND in Building Surveying/Construction with substantial sector experience).
- Up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety, compliance requirements, and CDM regulations.
- CIH membership (Level 4 or higher) is highly desirable, or the willingness to achieve this at pace.
- Desirable safety qualifications (such as P405 Asbestos or Level 4 Fire Safety) will set you apart.
- A passion for engaging with communities and ensuring that the voice of our 2,500 residents directly influences how asset management is delivered.
- A valid driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use, and the flexibility to participate in our housing out-of-hours rota.
