Responsibilities

  • Join the Legal Services Section to provide a joint legal service to Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council.
  • Deal with a wide variety of areas including employment, housing, criminal and civil litigation, planning and licensing.
  • Research and analyse legislation, advise on its interpretation, and provide innovative, proactive and pragmatic advice to Officers and Members of both Councils.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a busy legal practice carrying out any of the following areas of legal work:
    • Debt Collection
    • Civil or Criminal Litigation
    • Planning Law
    • Employment Law
    • Property Law
  • Positive, driven and innovative professional with excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Good team player, self‑motivated, able to give clear, accurate and practical legal advice.
