Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and manage the upgrade to a VMware vSphere environment to version 8.0
- Upgrade and migrate existing servers running on Microsoft Server 2012 to a newer version
- Design and implement comprehensive logging and alerting policies to proactively identify and address potential issues
- Evaluate and implement security improvements to strengthen our IT infrastructure
- Lead the implementation of MS Entra and advise on best practice
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Document infrastructure changes and procedures for future reference
- Work collaboratively with other IT professionals to ensure smooth project execution
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Strong understanding of VMware technologies, including vSphere 8.0 and related products
- Experience with Dell VxRail hyper converged infrastructure solutions
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server administration
- Proficiency in using PRTG or similar monitoring tools
- Experience with MS Entra
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and results-oriented approach
