We are currently recruiting for a physically fit Street Cleansing Operative to join our friendly cleansing team to work in Worthing Town Centre.
The postholder is responsible for ensuring that the town centre of Worthing is cleansed on a daily basis, ensuring that all litter bins are emptied and that the roads and pavements are litter and detritus free. You will also be responsible for the removal of any debris as instructed by line managers. The postholder is responsible for completing daily work schedules and therefore, you will need to be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, in all weather conditions.
Essential For The Role:
- Physically fit able to walk many miles per day
- A knowledge of the local area
Desirable:
- A knowledge of local authority refuse and recycling operations
- Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in waste management operations
- Have an understanding of Performance, Risk and Reputation Management
- Working knowledge of the relevant sections of the H
Minimum of 26 days + Bank Holiday entitlement. Local Government Pension Training.
