Do you like to be outside in the fresh air all day? Are you into staying fit and healthy? Do you love an early finish every day? We are currently recruiting for a physically fit HGV driver to join our friendly team, working in Adur and Worthing collecting refuse from householders and local businesses. The post holder will be responsible for driving a HGV kerbside vehicle and loading within a team of 3 Refuse Operatives, ensuring a quality kerbside service in the Adur and Worthing areas.
Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in waste management operations and be able to demonstrate knowledge of local authority refuse and recycling operations; however training will be provided for those who have a willingness to learn. You should have an understanding of performance, risk and reputation management while working within the guidelines of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. This is a physically demanding role and you will be required to undertake basic health and safety and manual handling training. You will work in all weather conditions and must be prepared for this; it is essential that you are an effective team player.
