At Adur & Worthing we are committed to taking an entrepreneurial and commercial approach to serving our communities. We are focused on using our assets and investments to improve our economy and support our communities. So...
- Are you interested in, or even part qualified in non-residential property asset management?
- Are you seeking a role within a friendly and results oriented team?
- Are you adaptable and a good communicator?
- Are you IT literate, organised and able to think on the spot?
- Do you want to get out of the office and visit our properties and tenants?
This is an environment in which your property and commercial skills will flourish and energy for the job is appreciated, led by experienced, supportive and friendly staff to assist in your success.
The Councils have significant holdings of community and commercial property and we want to maximise value and community benefit from these assets. Working across the Adur District and Worthing Borough administrative area provides a unique breadth of opportunity, as we own a wide variety of property types.
We will want you to quickly gain an understanding of parts of the portfolio that require your attention, deal with outstanding Landlord and Tenant issues, disposals and problem solving issues, get to know the administration requirements and support the Asset and Investment Managers.
In this busy and diverse role, you will be working with a high-performing professional team. We are therefore looking for someone with adaptability, initiative, communication skills, and calm under pressure. This is a collaborative team that values work being done in a timely fashion and will help you to deliver and grow.
You can be part of our ambitious vision bringing more growth and prosperity to the people of Adur & Worthing by making the assets we own compliant, income producing and/or of immense value to the community.
The structure of local government is likely to change in the next few years and as such this may present opportunities to work across a wider area and with other types of property. The scope of the role could increase which will appeal to candidates with career ambition or those who prefer to work with certain types of asset class, for example.
We also offer apprenticeships to gain RICS qualifications on a case by case basis.
