An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Democratic Services team as a Democratic Services Assistant, providing a joint service to Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council.
This role involves administering the Council\βs governance processes, organising and supporting committee meetings, and providing governance advice. You will undertake administrative duties, support the Mayor of Worthing and The Chair of Adur, and organise diaries and Civic Events.
You should be confident working independently, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to liaise with Senior Officers and Councillors. Good organisational skills, proven administrative experience, adaptability, attention to detail, and proficiency in word processing applications are essential.
Occasional attendance at weekend and evening events may be required.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
