  • Hourly Rate: £18.85
  • Working Pattern: Full Time (37 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Play a vital role in promoting the potential of parents, carers, and their children.
  • Prevent children from suffering significant harm and ensure they thrive within their families.
  • Undertake or contribute to multi-agency assessments of children and families in need of help and support.
  • Adopt a preventative approach to supporting children, young people and their families.
  • Act as the Family Help Lead Practitioner, supporting children where appropriate.
  • Carry out and review Family Help Discussions and Plans.
  • Conduct assessments and develop Family Help Plans.
  • Support children and families both individually and in groups.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams to provide essential support.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports, including court statements.

Who You Are / Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Education, Social Care, or Early Years. Proven track record in supporting children and families, both individually and in groups. Experience in community development and conducting assessments of need.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of child development and parenting dynamics. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to engage positively with parents, carers, and children. Strong IT skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Education, Health, Social Care, or Community Development.
