A little about myself:
I am a young lady living in Swansea with cerebral palsy. I love animals. I like going to a petting centre or a farm. I enjoy arts and crafts and going for a look around the shops. I am better in the morning’s as I get tired quickly. If I am going for a long walk, I would need to take my wheelchair which would need to fit into the PAs car. I would like a PA to go out in the community to enjoy the things I like doing.
Driver required to take me out.
Female preferred.
Hours of work
10 hours a week
Tues, Thurs or weekend mornings.
Rate of pay
£13.50
Essential:
- Drive to be able to take me out.
- Have a car big enough to fit my wheelchair if needed
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
- You are bubbly and chatty.
I’d like support with
- Going out in the community.
I will need my PA to:
- Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
- Be confident, mature and have patience.
- Be dependable and arrive on time.
- Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
- Be adaptable and flexible.
- Be supportive but not take over.
- Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
