Dudley Council is seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) team on a part-time basis. This rewarding role offers the chance to support children and families, making a real and lasting impact.

About the Role:

Conduct thorough needs assessments and develop person-centered care plans for children with disabilities.
Provide direct support and guidance to children, young people, and their families, promoting independence and well-being.
Collaborate with multi-agency partners (health professionals, educational providers, support organizations) to coordinate services and resources.
Advocate for the rights and needs of children with disabilities, ensuring access to appropriate services and support.
Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing urgent needs and adhering to statutory timescales.
Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies relating to children with disabilities.
Ability to build rapport and trust with children, young people, and their families.
Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
