An excellent opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and organised Scheme Manager to support residents within a homeownership scheme in Hatfield, promoting independence, wellbeing and the delivery of high-quality, safe and value-for-money housing services.

THE ROLE

  • Act as the primary contact for residents, providing information, advice and support to promote independent living.
  • Assess individual resident needs and prepare, implement and review tailored support plans.
  • Liaise with families, carers and external agencies to ensure holistic support is in place.
  • Coordinate local services to ensure schemes are clean, secure and well maintained.
  • Monitor contractor performance and take appropriate action where standards are not met.
  • Carry out health & safety checks, risk assessments and scheme inspections.
  • Support local housing teams with administrative duties, resales, income recovery and resident consultation.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Previous experience in a similar scheme‑based or housing support role, with a strong understanding of supporting older or vulnerable residents.
  • Experience supporting older people or residents with varying support needs.
  • Knowledge of housing management, resident involvement and community care practices.
  • Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Competent in using IT systems, including basic Microsoft Word, Excel and housing databases.

THE CONTRACT

  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week.
  • Length of Contract: 3 Month Fixed‑Term Contract.
  • Rate: £24,510 per year, plus benefits.
