About the Role
As a Children’s Support Worker, you’ll be a vital part of our commitment to providing a safe and supportive space for children. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Offering compassionate support to children with diverse needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, autism, and learning disabilities.

What You’ll Need
To be our next superstar Support Worker, you’ll ideally have:
- A valid full driving licence and a reliable vehicle for getting around the North East.
- Essential experience working in Residential Children’s Homes and supporting children who have experienced childhood trauma.
- Flexibility to travel up to an hour to Gateshead, Sunderland, Newcastle, or Durham, and availability for both day and night shifts.
- A commitment to working at least 3 shifts per week.
- Proof of your Right to Work in the UK.
- Up-to-date mandatory training certificates, PMVA training, and an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
- The ability to provide employment references covering the last 3 years.

Experience & Qualifications
Experience: 1 year minimum experience in the UK as a support worker.
Skills: Childcare experience, patience, and empathy are key!
Professional Knowledge: Child protection and behaviour management are essential.
Qualifications: A relevant childcare qualification or equivalent experience is a big plus.
Important Notice
This role mandates a minimum of 36.5 hours per week. Therefore, we’re unable to accept applications from individuals with a Student or Skilled Worker visa, as the visa requirements may conflict with these hours.
