Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.
This role will be at Bridgewood Nursing Home, EN3 5XX.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Support – Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations. Act as the manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership. Provide visible, hands-on leadership during shifts.
- Quality & Compliance – Ensure care delivery meets Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and legislative requirements. Monitor and update care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures. Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Staff Management – Supervise and mentor care staff, promoting professional development. Coordinate rotas and staffing levels to maintain safe coverage. Handle performance management and support recruitment/induction.
- Resident Care – Provide hands-on care, oversee the wellbeing of residents, ensuring person-centred care. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. Respond to complex care needs and emergencies.
- Administration – Manage medication processes and accurate record-keeping. Support budget monitoring and resource allocation. Ensure effective communication across the team and with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as Deputy Manager in Older People’s Care Home Essential.
