About the role

This role involves promoting independence, dignity and well-being of service users who have a variety of additional needs. Making a positive difference in the lives of those you are supporting, helping them with daily tasks, personal care, medication administration and being generally supportive to the service users. The role will require records to be kept up to date with accurate information. You will be able to work well with others and communicate with wider teams to ensure the highest standard of care is provided. You must be enthusiastic and resilient and take a genuine interest in helping people. The working pattern can be flexible, with full-time and part-time roles available on a temporary basis. The shift patterns can vary with day shifts and night shifts available.

About you

  • Have experience working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
  • You are compassionate and caring towards others with a desire to help people
  • You must have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team liaising with wider teams to ensure the best level of care is provided
  • Be able to work under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations
  • Have a strong ability to work independently and use your own initiative

Qualifications

  • SVQ2 in Health and Social Care or HNC in Social Care (Desirable)
  • Ability to reliably commute to Perth
  • Minimum of 1 year UK experience in a similar role
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
