Job Description

SEN Placements Admissions Assistant | 8107 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £24,790 to £25,183 per annum | Grade D | Norwich – Hybrid Working

An opportunity has arisen to work in a key education service as part of the SEND Specialist Provision and Funding Placements Team.

The team actively supports the administration of placing and funding children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans.

Role Responsibilities

  • Compile and distribute complex agendas to facilitate effective consultation processes with schools.
  • Manage diaries for multiple admissions decision-making forums, coordinating between local authority officers and schools to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Maintain confidential records and facilitate document sharing in compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
  • Take minutes at admissions panels and decision-making forums, capturing complex information accurately and succinctly.
  • Communicate admissions decisions promptly to internal teams, schools, and families.
  • Support SEND & AP Admissions Officers/Coordinator with delegated tasks.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld, promoting the safety and welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults in line with policies.
