Hi, I’m Joanne Diggines, Service Manager for the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Service. We are committed to improving outcomes for children in our care. Our team fosters a friendly, supportive environment that nurtures development, creativity, and child-centred practice. Our Team Managers support their teams to achieve positive results for young people.
We are currently seeking a Personal Advisor for our UASC Team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with care leavers or adults aged 18+ and understand the challenges involved in transitioning to independence and adulthood.
This is an exciting opportunity within Norfolk, a growing service that is developing its practices and partnerships to offer robust support to children and young people entering Norfolk for the first time. We offer a friendly, supportive environment and welcome dedicated social work professionals.
Norfolk is a fantastic place to live and work, with a countywide team based mainly in Dereham, Breckland, and Norwich for meetings. The role involves a hybrid working model, with regular in-office meetings encouraged. A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential due to the countywide nature of the team.
