Overview

Clerical Assistant | 8928 | Secondment Opportunity/Temporary Contract until October 2026 | 37 hours per week | ÂŁ25,185 per annum | Scale C | Norwich

The registration service is there to record all the significant events in life. We register births and deaths and take notices of marriage. We conduct and register marriages and civil partnerships and offer other associated services. We need someone to join our team in Norwich as a Clerical Assistant to ensure this frontline service is delivered to customers effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

In registration there is a lot to learn and retain and we provide thorough training for all the duties. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, who can perform well under pressure and at speed and is comfortable working on their own. Applicants need to adapt well to change and be flexible as the duties may vary from week to week.

Requirements / Skills

Applicants must possess excellent IT skills, spelling and grammar and will need to have good interpersonal skills. Candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to great customer service and meet our high expectations for service delivery and teamwork. Travel to other offices within the county may be required, so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
