We are looking for enthusiastic and engaging people to join our AtoBetter Team, and help support the delivery of sustainable and active travel events across Norfolk.

AtoBetter is all about making journeys as easy as possible, and enabling more journeys to be made by foot, bike, public transport and care sharing. We work with communities to offer free travel advice and support, and an important part of our work is our events and roadshows. And that’s where this role comes in.

Working as an Engagement and Events Officer, the role will be involved in the planning and delivery of events, including supporting during the events themselves. This will include event planning and promotion, community and stakeholder engagement, and gathering feedback from attendees. It’s a rewarding role where you will have a positive impact on both health and the environment in Norfolk.

We have multiple positions available, which we are offering on a casual basis, as we’re looking to build up a team of people who can support events across the year. It’s not a huge time commitment, but there will be some evening and weekend work involved.

To be considered for the role, you’ll need an interest in / enthusiasm for active and sustainable travel. Full training will be provided, but any experience of planning and/or running events would be beneficial. You’ll also need strong communication and interpersonal skills, good organisation skills, and a positive and proactive approach.

It’s an interesting and rewarding role where you will be engaging with the public and promoting positive behaviours. If this sounds of interest then we would love to hear from you!

We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.

Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job description and person specification to help you demonstrate how you meet the criteria. You can also find information on our Terms and Conditions here.
