ASE Recruitment are specialist recruiters in the social housing and social care sectors providing temporary staffing to work within a variety of 24 hour supported accommodation services and floating support services for Housing Associations and Charities across the Northwest, Midlands, and Derbyshire.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to work in the Birmingham Small Heath area supporting clients experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality supported accommodation service in Birmingham
You will supervise and support frontline staff, ensuring residents receive person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing. You will monitor safeguarding, records, accommodation standards, performance and compliance, while working closely with internal teams and external partners.
The role also involves staff supervision, service audits, quality improvement, stakeholder engagement and supporting the financial performance of the service through effective income and void management.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience supervising or leading staff within supported accommodation, housing, social care or a similar environment and understand the needs of people with complex or multiple support needs.
You will have a good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, incident reporting, confidentiality and relevant standards or regulations. You will be confident monitoring staff performance, completing audits, maintaining accurate records and identifying areas for service improvement.
You will be organised, resilient and able to make sound decisions when dealing with challenging or sensitive situations. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, together with a commitment to promoting independence, dignity and choice.
Experience of working with local authorities, commissioners or other external agencies would be advantageous.
Candidates should have a current, enhanced DBS certificate, if you do not hold a valid DBS Certificate, they must be willing to apply for one.
