ASE Recruitment are specialist recruiters in the social housing and social care sectors providing temporary staffing to work within a variety of 24 hour supported accommodation services and floating support services for Housing Associations and Charities across the Northwest, Midlands, and Derbyshire.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager for Nights in the Chesterfield area supporting clients experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.
Hours: On Rota, nights
Contract: Temp to perm
Rate: Β£30,450
About the role
- Provide effective leadership to night staff, supporting their development and ensuring training compliance.
- Undertake regular supervisions and performance reviews.
- Ensure staff understand policies, procedures and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Manage referrals and support planned transitions for young people entering the service.
- Oversee incident reporting, safeguarding escalations and risk assessment reviews.
- Work in partnership with external agencies and professionals.
- Complete monthly case file reviews and attend safeguarding/incident meetings.
- Ensure the accommodation is safe, well-maintained and welcoming.
- Complete monthly health and safety audits and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
- Oversee repairs, room checks and visitor management processes.
- Promote independence, wellbeing and access to education, training or employment.
- Support trauma-informed and strength-based approaches across the team.
- Ensure young people understand their rights, complaints processes and available advocacy services.
- Work occasional day shifts to attend required meetings.
- Participate in a 1-in-3 weekend rota.
- Manage budgets, support contract reporting and oversee local co-production initiatives.
About You

Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience working in young people's supported accommodation.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
- Experience in support planning, risk assessment and incident management.
- Proven ability to supervise or manage staff.
- Experience working within multi- agency frameworks.
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use IT systems to record information accurately.
- Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- NVQ/Diploma in a relevant field.
- Understanding of Ofsted Supported Accommodation regulations.
- Experience with systems such as Pyramid/Lief or similar.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check with barred list clearance (Children).
