The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on Senior Full‑Stack Developer with experience in eCommerce platforms to lead the development of our core product. You will work closely with the founder and our development team to design, build, and scale a robust AI‑driven platform for eCommerce merchants. This is not a paid position; it is in return for an equity share of the company, leading to a salaried role once we complete a funding round. This role offers ownership of key technical decisions, architecting scalable solutions, and leading a small team of developers. As we grow, there is potential for the role to expand into a more strategic technical leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of our core web app and APIs for Shopify integration
- Oversee scalable architecture for AI‑powered marketing and data analytics tools
- Collaborate with junior developers, guiding code quality, best practices, and delivery timelines
- Implement third‑party integrations (Google Ads, Shopify CLI, and other eCommerce APIs)
- Optimize performance, reliability, and security across all services
- Contribute to strategic technical planning as the product and team scale
Requirements
- Strong experience in full‑stack development (Node.js, React, or similar modern stack)
- Experience building apps for eCommerce platforms (Shopify experience highly preferred)
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and API integrations
- Hands‑on experience with databases, security, and scalable architecture
- Comfortable in a startup environment, balancing speed with quality
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to lead small technical teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI integrations or data‑driven products
- Familiarity with marketing automation or analytics tools
- DevOps experience for deployment and CI/CD
