Barco Sales is a leading plumbing and heating distributor with more than 40 years’ experience.
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our friendly Operations Team at our headquarters in central Welwyn Garden City.
This is a hands on role where you will help make sure customer orders are picked accurately, packed securely and loaded ready for delivery.
You will be working as part of a supportive team, so reliability, good timekeeping and a positive attitude are just as important as previous warehouse experience.
You will need to be comfortable lifting packages weighing up to 25kg and working carefully in a busy warehouse environment.

- What you’ll be doing
- Picking customer orders accurately, including individual items weighing up to 25kg
- Checking items carefully before packing orders for dispatch
- Packing orders securely and preparing them for delivery
- Loading vans for deliveries taking place the following day
- Replenishing stock and carrying out regular stock checks
- Assisting with goods in when required
- Completing basic in house assembly tasks
- Using the company IT system for warehouse and operational tasks
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and well organised
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time

You do not need to have extensive warehouse experience, as full training will be provided.

Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, goods in, order picking or distribution environment would be useful, but it is not essential.
