Maintenance Engineer
£47,196 per annum | Lenwade, Norfolk
Monday to Friday | Rotating early and late shifts
Join Polyframe, part of SWPF Group, at our manufacturing site in Lenwade. You’ll earn an annual salary of £47,196, with 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays and a clear two week shift rotation.
You’ll put your fault finding skills to work across breakdown repairs, planned maintenance and machinery improvements. Working closely with Production, you’ll diagnose problems, prevent repeat failures and help equipment perform reliably.
A working pattern you can plan around
You’ll work a two week rotation, Monday to Friday:
- Week 1: 6am to 2pm
- Week 2: 2.15pm to 10.15pm

Your role
You’ll help keep production machinery safe, reliable and consistently producing quality products.
You’ll:
- Diagnose and repair machinery breakdowns, responding promptly to minimise downtime.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, coordinating access to equipment and checking that cleanliness requirements are met.
- Investigate the root causes of faults and implement improvements to prevent repeat failures.
- Identify and request parts needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance and Front Line Maintenance activities.
- Help improve equipment reliability, product quality and production throughput.
- Complete agreed improvement plans while following Health and Safety procedures and environmental requirements.
Your experience
You’ll bring significant maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial plant environment, strong technical understanding and a practical, methodical approach to solving machinery problems. A mechanical or electrical qualification would be ideal.
You’ll also need:
- An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procurement or supply chain activities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and management standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
AutoCAD skills and an IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification are desirable.
Experience in PVC or aluminium window manufacturing is highly desirable. Familiarity with Urban, Haffner, Emmegi, Elumatec, Stuga, Rotox or Hollinger machinery would be advantageous.
