We are now looking for an experienced Fit-Out Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is a key commercial role for someone who thrives on both detailed estimating and full commercial control across live projects.
The Role
- You will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of fit-out projects from initial enquiry through to final account.
- Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and external QS teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions for retail and commercial fit-out projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Manage project budgets and monitor costs throughout delivery.
- Produce cost reports, forecasts, and commercial updates.
- Prepare and submit variation quotations with full supporting documentation.
- Manage valuations, change control, and final accounts.
- Support procurement and negotiate best value with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Work closely with project managers, design teams and client-appointed quantity surveyors.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or a similar commercial role within fit-out or construction.
- Strong understanding of interior fit-out processes and delivery.
- Experience producing tenders, cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and estimating software skills.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
