We are now looking for an experienced Fit-Out Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is a key commercial role for someone who thrives on both detailed estimating and full commercial control across live projects.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of fit-out projects from initial enquiry through to final account.
  • Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and external QS teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions for retail and commercial fit-out projects.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Manage project budgets and monitor costs throughout delivery.
  • Produce cost reports, forecasts, and commercial updates.
  • Prepare and submit variation quotations with full supporting documentation.
  • Manage valuations, change control, and final accounts.
  • Support procurement and negotiate best value with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with project managers, design teams and client-appointed quantity surveyors.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or a similar commercial role within fit-out or construction.
  • Strong understanding of interior fit-out processes and delivery.
  • Experience producing tenders, cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and estimating software skills.
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
