Ride On Entertainment is looking for a Field Service Technician to service, maintain and install children’s rides at shopping centres and retail locations across South East London, Essex and Kent. This opportunity could suit someone with experience in field service, vending machines, gaming or amusement equipment, retail maintenance, electrical installations or general mechanical repairs.

About Ride On Entertainment: Ride On Entertainment is an established UK business specialising in children’s rides for shopping centres and retail environments. With more than 20 years’ experience, the company has built a strong reputation for providing safe, attractive and well-maintained equipment alongside a reliable service.

The Role: Working from a planned route, you will visit approximately three to four locations each day. You will ensure that every ride is safe, clean, presentable and operating correctly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing and maintaining children’s rides
  • Finding faults and completing basic electrical and mechanical repairs
  • Cleaning and presenting equipment to a high standard
  • Checking that rides are safe, secure and fully operational
  • Installing, relocating and removing equipment when required
  • Loading and unloading equipment from the company van
  • Managing your workload and completing scheduled visits efficiently
  • Communicating professionally with retail-site teams

This is a hands-on, physically active role involving driving, repairs and the regular movement of equipment.

About You: You may currently work as a Field Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, Service Engineer, Vending Engineer, Installation Technician or Mechanical Technician. You will need:

  • Basic electrical, mechanical or maintenance experience
  • Confidence using hand tools and completing minor repairs
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The ability to work independently and manage a daily route
  • A reliable, responsible and safety-conscious approach
  • Good communication and customer-service skills
  • The physical ability to lift, load and move equipment
  • Willingness to start work between 5.00am and 6.00am

What’s on Offer? £30,000–£33,000 salary, depending on experience. Company Luton van provided. Early finishes, typically between 2.00pm and 3.00pm. 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, managed on a rota basis. Expenses covered for occasional overnight stays.
