Are you an experienced Machine Setter looking for a stable, hands-on engineering role with varied machinery, overtime opportunities and an early finish every Friday?
Our client, Crisp Clean Services, is looking for a reliable and mechanically minded Machine Setter to join its manufacturing team in Curry Rivel.
You will set and operate industrial machinery used to manufacture high-quality stainless steel tubular, wire and steel components.
You will also prepare equipment for other operators and oversee the quality of the work produced.

- What you’ll be doing
- Setting and operating industrial manufacturing machinery
- Preparing machines for other employees to operate
- Overseeing the quality and accuracy of work produced
- Operating auto-saws, guillotines, brake presses and tube-bending machinery
- Checking finished components meet the required standards
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Supporting production involving wire, assembly and power presses
- Working safely and helping the team meet production targets
Depending on your experience, power press setting and operation may also form part of the role.
What we’re looking for
You will ideally have
- Experience setting and operating production or manufacturing machinery
- A mechanical engineering, fabrication or metalworking background
- The ability to work accurately to specifications and production targets
- Experience checking the quality of manufactured components
- Confidence setting machinery for other employees to operate
- A practical understanding of machinery, tooling and equipment maintenance
- Previous supervisory or oversight experience
- A reliable, organised and safety-conscious approach
Experience operating NC-controlled equipment would be advantageous, although programming experience is not essential.
Applicants with a mechanical engineering background will have a distinct advantage. However, training can be provided for someone with the right practical ability and attitude.
