This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Estimator in our sales team, working with highly skilled engineers, to support you in your career development. As an Estimator you will be involved in the full life cycle delivery of control system projects.
The Estimator role needs a high level of autonomy when carrying out tasks, and the company expects a high degree of awareness to commercial issues to help protect the company as well as help to leverage profits where possible.
Full-time position (08:30-17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30-16:00 on Fridays)
What you will learn:
- Register, administer & send sales quotations to clients for small to large systems integration projects including specification of PLC, HMI, SCADA, Network, Installation & other works which can include panel modifications, Network node boxes (NNBs), subcontractor works.
- Attend site visits for our clients, particularly our framework clients.
- Further knowledge by attending suitable training courses (may be internal or external) to understand about technology/products when necessary or applicable.
- Attend periodic company partnership events to network & find out about new technology/updates that could affect our quotes.
- Build relationships with clients & attend sales/quote meetings as well as aid the PMs and Engineers in any sales client meetings.
- Liaise with the Sales Management and your line manager to leverage sales into the business.
- Create projects & register new opportunities within our CRM system and keep this up to date.
- Provide periodic updates to sales team with progression of opportunities/deals and document onto CRM.
- Be aware of the prospects on our CRM tool to allow weekly updates by PMO.
- Assist with periodic modification of quotes templates for new customers/continuous improvement.
- Understand how to keep our CRM system updated with the latest prospect information & provide cover for this activity when other members of the team are on annual leave.
- Quality check/Technical check quotes & CEs from anyone outside Sales team wishing to send a sales quotation to ensure procedures are followed and they are financially and commercially acceptable to be sent to the client.
- Give detailed sales to projects handover meetings upon contract award.
What we require from you:
- Must have either a technical background working within a similar engineering environment OR relevant qualification to minimum ONC/OND/HNC/HND standard (Degree level preferred).
- Excellent knowledge and competency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel is essential.
- The successful individual will be able to adapt quickly, be motivated to develop and manage their own portfolio of work and be confident in communicating at all levels.
- Above all candidates must be enthusiastic and willing to learn about the process automation industry and technologies.
- Although Adsyst operate a relaxed dress code in the office, this role is sometimes customer facing and requires candidates to be smart and presentable when required.
- UK Driving License.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
