Our expanding business is currently offering numerous exciting opportunities for qualified electrical engineers.

About the role

We're looking for motivated and hands-on Electrical Installation Engineering Supervisors to become part of our dynamic team of skilled engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge control systems and site-based electrical installations for key clients across the UK.

You'll play a vital role in surveying, installing, commissioning, and supporting control systems and related equipment. While the position is primarily electrical, you'll also have the opportunity to learn and develop PLC programming skills through structured training β€” no prior programming experience needed.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support the installation and commissioning of electrical control systems
  • Ensure work is delivered to the highest standard, on time and in line with project requirements
  • Travel to UK client sites (mostly within 3 hours) with occasional overnight stays (approx. 20% max) β€” hotels provided for longer commutes
  • Work standard daytime hours with an early finish on Fridays

Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:15
  • Friday: 08:30–16:00

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on electrical supervisory experience
  • Recognised electrical qualifications: C&G, BTEC, NVQ3, ONC or HNC/HND, plus 18th Edition (BS7671:2018)
  • ECS Gold card holder or eligibility (covered by company)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (highly desirable)
  • Experience in service, support, installation, or maintenance roles
  • Knowledge of EPlan, AutoCAD, or similar design software is advantageous
  • Familiarity with control panel design, manufacture, and installation
  • Experience with PLC equipment installation and commissioning is a plus
  • Strong communication skills β€” both verbal and written
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Why Join Us?

  • Work with a team of experts in a supportive and innovative environment
  • Receive full PLC training and opportunities to grow your technical skills
  • Be part of high-impact projects with leading clients
  • Benefit from structured career progression and professional development
  • Enjoy an early finish on Fridays and a healthy work-life balance

What you will get in return

  • Auto enrolment pension scheme (including Salary Sacrifice/Exchange for Pension Payments if desired)
  • 25 days holiday (rising to 30 days after 5 years service)
  • Private Health Scheme (after 1 year service)
  • Sick pay (after 6 months service)

  • Access to our Wellbeing programme operated through COGG (https://www.coggroup.co.uk)
  • Access to 24/7 365 days confidential employee counselling service, free for employees and their families
  • Access to our Training Hub (various training courses available)
  • Annual Personal development and salary reviews
  • Free parking at all our offices (Subject to availability & any company parking policies or parking rotas that may be in effect)
  • Access to company vans or pool cars (company car scheme also available for senior roles)
  • Access to Perkbox (https://join.perkbox.co.uk) This gives employees access to discounted shopping, eating out, cinema and even holidays
