Due to continued growth we are seeking a highly motivated Press Brake Operative
The role is to cut dimensionally accurate components that comply with clients drawings using press brake machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect parts to check they are correct and free from damage before proceeding with any processes
- To set the press brake machine correctly using the information provided in the job pack
- Fold items accurately and in accordance with client’s drawings and information
- Always look for the most cost effective way of doing any procedures
- When handling materials ensure absolute minimum damage to all faces especially with stainless steel (polished/grained) and anodised finished surfaces
- Correctly label components and stack completed jobs on pallets
- To accurately record times on TruTops Fab (TTF)
- Complete all paperwork (job pack) correctly and feedback any relevant information that will increase productivity or reduce future errors
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in setting and operating press brake machines for bespoke and sub contract work
- Read drawings
- Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude
- Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
- Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve
- Strong communication, team working & people skills
- Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude
