The Office and Business Support Lead is responsible for the effective day-to-day coordination of UKDSCs office environment and core operational activities. The role provides structured support to the CEO and Leadership Team, while ensuring the office operates efficiently, is well-organised, and supports the needs of the wider team.

This role is focused on delivering a consistent, practical and well-managed working environment, acting as a central point of coordination for operational and administrative activity across the organisation.

The Candidate

We are looking for a highly organised and dependable individual who will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the office environment. This person will naturally create structure and order, ensuring that facilities, suppliers and operational processes run smoothly and efficiently. They will take pride in maintaining a safe, professional and well-functioning workplace, proactively resolving issues before they escalate.

We are seeking someone who is confident coordinating a wide range of activities, from facilities management and health and safety compliance through to event logistics and team coordination. The successful candidate will act as a central point of contact for both internal teams and external suppliers, building effective working relationships and ensuring clear, timely communication. A calm and practical approach is essential, particularly when managing competing priorities or supporting high-profile events, where the ability to remain composed and solution-focused under pressure is key.

We are looking for an individual who is proactive and self-sufficient, able to identify what needs to be done and take action with minimal supervision. They will be comfortable working independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment, providing day-to-day support to colleagues and fostering a well-organised, inclusive and supportive culture.

Strong interpersonal skills are important, as the role involves engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and supporting new joiners through onboarding and integration into the team.

The Role Requirements

  • Office-based role (Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm each day)
  • Ability to travel occasionally
