As digital communications officer at ADS, you’ll work as part of a busy communications team, delivering digital communications to our members in the South West, Scotland and Northern Ireland. As the trade association for the UK’s aerospace, defence, security and space industries, your work will help shape our relationship with our members locally.
In particular, you’ll work across our range of digital channels, including industry-leading newsletters, social media channels and our website. Our ideal candidate is a proactive team player with some experience in communicating to a wide variety of audiences. You’ll have an eye for detail and storytelling abilities to ensure the continued success of the ADS brand.
You will report directly to the Head of External Communications, working closely with the Directors of our Regional offices, as well as the Director of External Affairs for ADS Regions. Please note that regular domestic travel to ADS’ regional offices will form part of this role, and all travel expenses will be reimbursed.
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for a proactive and organised communications professional with either relevant qualifications or experience in a marketing or communications role. You will be confident managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively and delivering high-quality outputs within a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.
You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across teams and adapting your approach for different audiences. With exceptional copywriting ability, you will produce clear, engaging content across a range of formats, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You will also have a good understanding of social media platforms and digital channels, with the ability to support and enhance online engagement. A genuine interest in the ADS sectors is important, alongside a willingness to develop your knowledge further.
THE CONTRACT
Contract: Permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid working, with 3 days in the London/Farnborough office and 2 days working from home.
Benefits: Bonus, pension, private health insurance, life insurance, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme, 9-day fortnight, hybrid working, extended remote working, enhanced parental leave, 28 days’ annual leave, the option to buy additional annual leave, and additional annual leave for long service.
