ADS Drilling are one of the UK's largest independent suppliers of subcontract drilling services within the ground investigation industry. As part of continued growth, we are looking for a highly-dedicated mechanic to join our growing family business. You will liaise with the directors and site crews to develop and execute both planned maintenance schedules and reactive maintenance on-site.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proven track record in the field of vehicle plant and lorry maintenance, diesel mechanical engineering or agricultural maintenance, and will be instrumental in caring for the fleet of pick-ups, vans, trailers, compressors and specialist plant which operate from our bases near both Leicester and Newton Abbot, Devon.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure vehicle and trailer maintenance and repairs are completed in line with the daily check sheets received.
- Develop and maintain planned service schedule.
- Attend sites to rectify issues and perform reactive maintenance.
- Prepare and assist with the loading and unloading of plant, equipment and vehicle.
- Assist plant fitting team with crossover tasks between vehicles and plant.
- Maintain supply of parts and consumables for both van and yard.
- Take pride in your work and ensure that plant and machinery is in the best possible condition.
Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving License, Category B (Car).
- CSCS Card.
- NVQ in related discipline.

- Salary of between £40,000 and £48,000 based upon experience.

Location: At ADS, we pride ourselves on the flexibility and diverse nature of our business; our site crews are based throughout the UK, but operate from our yard in south Leicestershire (LE17 6AX).
Working Hours: Due to the nature of the role, a degree of flexibility is encouraged, with Saturday working and/or time off in the week to compensate. Core hours are dependent upon workload, location of work and activity levels.
