The migration is from AWS to Azure. It is a .NET application. They are currently using Kafka and Datadog. They will use Express Routes between AWS and Azure. This is a UK-based opportunity; the staff will need to be in London near Old Street on site 3 days a week.
Major parts of this work include:
- Workload lift and shift from AWS to Azure (possible VM cloning for .NET app and DB snapshot/restore on Azure)
- Network connectivity setup (ExpressRoute)
- Managing connectivity to existing observability & monitoring tools (Datadog)
- Connectivity to Kafka cluster
Apps work is limited to the following:
- No major rewrite or new build is implied
- Possibly small code updates (endpoints, configs, secrets, etc.)
- Platform compatibility adjustments for the .NET app
