Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Developer – OpenShift Virtualization

Sheffield, UK | 6 Months | Hybrid Model (2-3 days onsite per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement IaC solutions for OpenShift Virtualization using Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize virtualized workloads and infrastructure for performance and reliability. Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of OpenShift clusters and workloads.
• Develop and maintain reusable IaC modules and playbooks for consistent and scalable deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to integrate OpenShift Virtualization with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies in all IaC implementations.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for IaC and OpenShift Virtualization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience with OpenShift Virtualization and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Knowledge of security best practices for containerized and virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
