We are hiring for the Exterior Glazing and Wiper Systems position in Crewe, UK.

Area: Front windscreen, Rear screen, Door glass, Front and rear Wipers
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the mechanical design and development of the systems from concept to SOP.
- Ensuring that the system meets the required functional requirements.
- Responsibility for the system specification, test and validation plan to achieve the cost, weight, timing and quality targets against project milestones.
- Coordinating with all relevant functions/departments to deliver the system as per functional requirements.
- Responsibility for creation of technology roadmap(s) for the specific system, working closely with the client to understand the latest and future available technologies.
- Managing design resource and component/system suppliers to achieve the system requirements against the delivery timeline and milestones.
- Maintaining the Engineering System time plan, ensuring the system deliverables are on track, escalating issues where required.
- Presenting technical issues to the client and other stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in leading Glazing and Wiper system development in the Automotive industry.
- Good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic aspects of Automotive systems.
- Good understanding of product specifications and manufacturing processes of Glazing and Wipers.
- 10+ years of experience in product development [end to end] in the Automotive industry.
- Good understanding of the automotive product development process (involvement in at least two cycles of End-to-end product development in Automotive).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Skilled in Catia V5.
Door Sealing and Brightware Area: Door seals- Aperture seals, primary seals, margin seals etc. Brightware – Cantrail brightware, Waistrail brightware etc.
